THPRD tip of the month: Out-of-district residents invited to take advantage of voluntary annexation opportunity
|

Out-of-district residents pay an assessment fee (quarterly or annually) to participate in district programs. The annual fee is roughly equivalent to property taxes that the average in-district resident pays yearly to THPRD.
Each year in July, we extend a special voluntary annexation offer to out-of-district residents within THPRD’s ultimate service area. This year’s deadline is Sept. 7, and we will pay all processing fees for those who apply by then. Your application, if approved, would entitle you to all the benefits of in-district status, including the lowest possible prices and no waiting to register each term. You would pay annual property taxes starting in 2012 but no longer have to pay any assessment fees to participate in our programs.
