Fanno Creek Trail completed, opened

The missing link of the Fanno Creek Regional Trail has been completed. Bicyclists, joggers and walkers can travel 4½ miles of largely continuous, paved trail between THPRD’s Garden Home Recreation Center and Tigard’s Englewood Park near Scholls Ferry Road.

Many Winter term classes are under way, but you can still find classes with later start dates here or browse classes by age range/category.

If you prefer, drop in to one of our aquatic or recreation centers and pay by the visit.

Expanded Stuhr Center starting to sparkle

The Elsie Stuhr Center, our recreation center for adults "55 and better," is undergoing a $1.5 million expansion funded by our 2008 voter-approved bond measure. 

The building's new entry and all-new fitness room are beautfiul. You can see for yourself; the center has posted a gallery of images on its Facebook page.

THPRD named "Agency of the Year"

We were thrilled to receive recognition from Racquet Sports Industry as national "Parks & Recreation Agency of the Year" in the publication's Champions of Tennis issue.

The magazine cited community relationships and grassroots programs in naming THPRD the inaugural recipient of this award.

Swim (virtually) with the dolphins

On Friday, Feb. 17, from 7-9 p.m., Dive-In Movie returns to the Tualatin Hills Aquatic Center.

Come float on one of our inner tubes (or bring your own approved clean tube), relax and enjoy Dolphin Tale. It's a family film (PG) inspired by the true story of a dolphin whose tail is lost in a crab trap.
