Winter registration starts soon

On Dec. 8, at 8 a.m., in-district residents may begin registering for winter classes and activities. Registration for out-of-district patrons begins Dec. 14. >>Browse activities guide

Oregonian: THPRD deserves praise

In a Nov. 19 editorial, the Oregonian applauded THPRD for its successful management of the 2008 bond measure, citing responsible spending and matching community needs.

The Oregonian opinion echoed that of the Bond Citizen Oversight Committee, which called 2011-12 "a very successful and positive year for the bond program" in its recent annual report.

Support neighbors in need this season

"Drop In and Help our Neighbors," our annual food and toy drive, supports Beaverton families in need.  Bring a new, unwrapped toy or unperishable food item when you visit participating THPRD facilites through Dec. 13.

All donated items will go to Sunshine Pantry for distribution to individuals and families requesting help this holiday season.

December events foster holiday spirit

Looking for ways to enjoy holiday cheer? Our December event calendar is chock full of opportunities from day one.

  • December 1: Garden Home Recreation Centerhosts its 28th annual Holiday Bazaar.
  • Decmeber 1 & 8: Jenkins Estate hosts holiday teas.
  • December 15: Tualatin Hills Aquatic Center shows  "Home Alone," a holiday Dive-In Movie.

Help us prioritize how we spend

GreenPlay, a parks and recreation consultant, is providing THPRD patrons a chance to help prioritize the Park District's core prograrms and services.

Your feedback will help us update our 2006 Comprehensive Plan, which guides THPRD operations. This is your chance to directly influence how we spend public subsidies.
