Oct. 28 - Ghost and Goblin Gathering: Cedar Hills Recreation Center hosts a costume party, 12:30-3 p.m., with snacks, stories and crafts for kids ages 3-5.

Oct. 28 - Dive In Movie: Watch "Poltergeist" [PG] and float in the Tualatin Hills Aquatic Center pool from 7-9 p.m.

Oct. 29 - Spooktacular: Kids 10 and under can enjoy a carnival event from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Jenkins Estate.

Oct. 29 - Pumpkin Fest: Conestoga Recreation & Aquatic Center hosts an evening costume party with swimming, crafts and bingo.

Oct. 31 - Costume Party and Dance: This Elsie Stuhr Center event, 1-3 p.m., includes a costume contest.

Newt Day trail walk showcases Nature Park's fall wonders

Newt Day is an event for the entire family to learn about the wonders of nature in the fall, including the newt, an aquatic amphibian known for an ability to regenerate limbs, eyes and even some vital organs.
Explore the trails and participate in a scavenger hunt around the Interpretive Center on Saturday, Nov. 5, noon – 4 p.m. at Tualatin Hills Nature Park.
Budget Committee seeks volunteers

We are now accepting applications to fill two volunteer positions on our Budget Committee. Applications will be accepted through Friday, Nov. 18. Both positions have a three-year term.
Pam's Party returns for fifth year to benefit Oregon Food Bank

Sorry, guys. Pam's Party is an event for women only. Participants will indulge in water aerobics, dessert, camaraderie and fun on Saturday, Nov. 19, from 4-6 p.m., with proceeds to benefit the Oregon Food Bank. Click here to learn more.
Barrows Park hosts Nature Day

Learn how we are partnering with the community to preserve and enhance local natural areas at this free event, Saturday, Nov. 19, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at Barrows Park. Staff and volunteers will lead interactive activities and park rangers will be there to answer your questions. We encourage you to walk or bike to the event.

Registration for winter classes begins on Dec. 10; avoid the holiday hustle by planning ahead.
The printed version of the winter/spring guide will be available at our facilities and other community sites (including local libraries) on Nov. 18.
